Together we lead a strong team of innovative thinkers, builders, strategists, designers, and producers, united by our shared love for creating.

We believe our success is driven by our richly diverse and passionate team of talented individuals. We are hiring additional team members who enjoy collaborating with others, but also work well independently. We are looking for people who are motivated, self-driven, passionate and fun. We hope you’re inspired to learn more.

Production Design: What You Will Accomplish

As a Production Designer at Starch Creative, you will be a vital force behind bringing creative ideas to life with precision, consistency, and care. You’ll work at the intersection of creativity and execution, partnering closely with designers, producers, and project managers to ensure all creative assets are production-ready, brand-aligned, and flawlessly executed across print and digital platforms. This role is ideal for a detail-driven creative who takes pride in craftsmanship, thrives in a fast-paced studio environment, and understands that great design lives in the details.

How You Will be Successful:

  • Translate creative concepts into accurate, production-ready files across print and digital deliverables.
  • Collaborate with designers, art directors, and producers to support seamless project execution.
  • Prepare, adapt, and resize assets across multiple formats, specs, and platforms.
  • Ensure brand consistency and technical accuracy across all deliverables.
  • Manage file organization, version control, and asset libraries with precision.
  • Review and proof artwork for layout, typography, color, image quality, and formatting accuracy.
  • Coordinate with printers, vendors, and external partners to ensure smooth production and delivery.
  • Maintain timelines and manage multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
  • Identify and resolve production issues before they impact schedules or quality.
  • Contribute to refining production workflows and best practices within the studio.

Skills for Success

  • 2+ years of experience in a production design or similar role within a creative studio or agency.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop required).
  • Strong understanding of print production, prepress standards, and file setup.
  • Working knowledge of digital production requirements for web, social, and email.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  • Clear communicator with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.

Experience

  • Experience supporting fast-paced creative projects with overlapping timelines.
  • Hands-on involvement with print production, digital asset delivery, and brand systems.
  • Success working within established brand guidelines while managing multiple versions and formats.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with designers, producers, and project managers.
  • Previous agency or creative studio experience preferred.

Educational Requirements:
A formal education in design or related creative disciplines is welcomed, but we value hands-on experience and demonstrated production expertise most.

  • What you already know:
Creative production workflows, file preparation for print and digital, attention to detail, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Understanding how to work within brand systems and meet technical requirements.
  • What we will teach you:
Our internal systems, studio workflows, and how Starch Creative approaches design, production, and execution. The nuances of our clients, vendors, and creative standards—and how to grow your role within our evolving studio.
